As part of our continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Technical Service team. Working from our Chesterfield headquarters, this role will add to those strengths as part of a growing team.
Description of Duties
The role of technical advisor covers a wide range of tasks for both internal and field based duties. This requires the ability to carry out allocated tasks with the minimum of supervision with the expectation of achieving a satisfactory outcome. The candidate will possess a high degree of self-motivation, self-confidence and self-reliance but can also operate in an office and team environment.
Applicants should have a practical background relating to the paint industry, with application experience in the industrial sector. An understanding of paint systems and specifications would be an advantage.
General duties will be designated as required but will be determined by the activities of the sales team and internal product developments.
Specific Duties
External
Product Demonstrations and trials carried out in a customer facing environment
Developing working relationships with customers
Providing tuition of customers staff on the correct use of our products
Product training for distributors and sales team
Supporting the sales team to secure and develop new and existing accounts
Internal
Practical evaluation and development of laboratory samples
Investigate and provide a resolution to complaints
Provide technical support for office based queries
Producing accurate written reports and product specifications
Preparation of display panels and promotional material for customer presentation
