1. QD Industrial Zinc Phosphate Primer

(Code 200 026)

  • Fast drying general purpose Zinc Phosphate primer

  • Quality blast primer.

Please note, we sell this product in 5 litre and 20 litres cans. If you want the larger size, the minimum order is 3 cans.

Intended Uses

General purpose anti-corrosive metal primer, giving a high build matt finish. Can be re-coated with most types of finish. Good resistance to salt spray, humidity etc.

Available in Red Oxide (0120), Light Grey (0651), Dark Grey (1606), Buff (0414), White (0001) and Black (0002), plus special colours by arrangement.

Method of Application

Airless spray, air assisted airless spray (15-17 thou tip), conventional spray (with thinning). Small areas may be brushed.

Drying Time

Touch Dry ……. 15 minutes.
Handle Dry ….. 1 – 2 hours.

Intended Uses

An economical one coat primer/finish, with a higher sheen level than usual for the customer who wants their article to look good without costing the earth. Compares well to other brands such as Hammerite Smooth.

Yields a quick drying full gloss finish to give a good all round durable finish resistant to mild chemicals with good exterior durability.

4. 2 Pack Epoxy Floorpaint

(Code 101 100)

  • Hard wearing abrasion resistant floor paint

  • Suitable for medium to heavy traffic

Intended Uses

A high performance Epoxy Floor Coating with excellent resistance to most chemicals including battery acid, alkalis, grease, oil, etc. Suitable for medium to heavy traffic.

Available in a wide range of colours including BS and RAL. Custom colours are also available, subject to commercial considerations.

Method of Application

Apply by brush or roller to suitably prepared substrates. Not suitable for airless or air-assisted airless spray.

NB. Not recommended for hot spray or electrostatic application.

Drying Time

Touch Dry ……. 2 – 6 hours.
Handle Dry ….. Overnight.
Full Cure ……… 7 – 10 days dependant on temperature

(Drying times are quoted at 20°C and will vary with actual conditions such as: film thickness, air movement, temperature and humidity.)

NB. The drying time depends on the ambient temperature, air movement, and relative humidity and will be dramatically retarded where an excessive amount of paint has been applied. In extreme cases coating failure may occur when applied when adverse conditions such as in low temperatures and high humidity prevail during application or the drying process.

5. PU Gloss Floorpaint

(Code 300 600)

At a glance

  • Polyurethane resin
  • Easy brush or roller application
  • Ideal for general maintenance
  • Safety areas and pedestrian walkways

Intended Uses

A relatively fast drying floor paint that dries to a hard durable finish. Gives good resistance to splashing with petrol, lubricating oils, mild alkalis, dilute mineral acids (including battery acids), grease and water. Gives a smooth finish with a high sheen.

Volume Solids

Nominally 55%, varying slightly with colour.

Recommended Film thickness

Typical dry film thickness when applied is 50 microns.

Theoretical Coverage

Approx 8 square metres per litre at 50 microns dft. NB. The practical coverage rate depends on many factors and will be less than the theoretical figure.

Method of Application

300:600 is best applied by brush or roller.

Drying Time

Touch Dry ……………… 3 hours.
Dry for foot traffic ….. Overnight.
Full Cure ……………….. 7 days
